Our Story
At UCCM Building Material Supply Limited Partnership, we have a rich history that dates back to the early 1980s when the United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin saw the potential for a building material supply outlet to serve the demand from First Nations and other Island communities. After conducting an economic feasibility study, UCCM Building Material Supply Company Ltd. was incorporated in 1986 and opened for business in November 1987 in M'Chigeeng, Ontario. Since then, we have undergone many changes, including the implementation of a computerized perpetual inventory system, the addition of an Auto-Stak storage unit, and a 4800 square foot addition to our store. In 2007, the business was restructured to a new business model and incorporated as UCCM Building Material Supply Limited Partnership.
