Our History
Our story began in 1943 when Walter Reimer started operating a single gravel truck in the Didsbury Area. Over the years, the company grew, and in 1965, Walter purchased his first volumetric mobile concrete mixer to diversify the business. In 1977, the company was incorporated as Reimer Concrete Industries Ltd. In 1996, Peter Tanasiychuk purchased the company, and in 2000, he and his son, Josh, changed the name to TANAS Concrete. Under their leadership, the company continued to expand, acquiring several other concrete companies and increasing its fleet of ready-mix trucks and mobile mixers.
Our Commitment to Quality
At TANAS Concrete, we are committed to delivering superior quality and service to our customers. Our team of certified technicians and testers ensures that your concrete project is done right the first time. We monitor the Petro Canada ULS #1 Calgary rack rate monthly and adjust our fuel surcharge accordingly to reflect changes in the market. Our commitment to quality extends to our materials, equipment, and work processes, ensuring that we always meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
Issues with Payment and Quality of Work
The reviewers express frustration with the payment process and the quality of work delivered by Tanas. According to Ryan Miller, the company did not pour the full amount of concrete quoted, yet charged the full amount. Specifically, pony walls were not poured as promised, and the sidewalk area was smaller than quoted. Miller estimates a 97 square foot discrepancy in the sidewalk area, which was acknowledged by Sunset Homes, the builder.
Poor Communication and Customer Service
Both reviewers cite poor customer service as a major issue. Ryan Miller was unable to contact Tanas due to a malfunctioning contact page on their website, which rejected his attempts to reach out, insisting that he was a robot. David Mayo waited over 5 months for a refund and received nothing, further highlighting the company's poor communication and customer service.
Negative Experiences
Overall, the reviewers had negative experiences with Tanas, citing issues with payment, quality of work, and customer service.
