Combination Therapy Approach
Our clinic prides itself on its multi-faceted approach to chiropractic care. We believe that the most effective treatment plans involve a combination of various therapies, each targeting different aspects of pain, inflammation, and restricted mobility. Our services include Cox Technic, laser therapy, Active Release Technique (ART), Graston Technique, shockwave therapy, and microcurrent therapy. This versatile selection of treatments allows us to create personalized care plans for each of our clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Cox Technic: A Gentle, Evidence-Based Method
Cox Technic is a gentle, evidence-based chiropractic method used for relieving back pain and spinal conditions. This non-invasive spinal decompression technique offers individualized treatment plans, providing a safer alternative to surgery and injections. Cox Technic is particularly effective for herniated or bulging discs, spinal stenosis, and facet syndrome. By reducing pressure on the affected disc or nerve, Cox Technic helps alleviate pain, numbness, and tingling sensations, promoting overall spinal health.
Laser Therapy: Accelerating Recovery
Laser therapy involves the use of low-intensity lasers to stimulate tissue healing, reduce pain, and inflammation. This non-invasive treatment is often used to complement manual adjustments and help accelerate the recovery process for various musculoskeletal conditions, such as tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and plantar fasciitis. By promoting cellular regeneration and enhancing blood flow, laser therapy aids in reducing pain and inflammation, fostering a quicker return to normal activities.
Active Release Technique (ART): Targeted Soft Tissue Therapy
Active Release Technique (ART) is a hands-on, soft tissue technique used to treat muscle and fascial injuries. By applying specific movements and tension, ART aims to relieve pain, improve mobility, and address conditions such as muscle strains, overuse injuries, and scar tissue. ART is particularly effective for athletes, as it can help enhance performance and prevent future injuries by ensuring proper soft tissue function.
Graston Technique: Deep Tissue Massage and Fascial Release
The Graston Technique employs specialized instruments to perform deep tissue massage and release fascial restrictions. This method is used to alleviate pain, reduce muscle tightness, and improve range of motion, particularly for conditions involving soft tissue injuries and scar tissue buildup. Graston Technique is an excellent complement to other chiropractic therapies, as it can help expedite the healing process and enhance treatment outcomes.
Shockwave Therapy: Non-Invasive Pain Relief
Shockwave therapy delivers high-energy acoustic waves to targeted areas of the body to promote healing and reduce pain. This non-invasive technique is commonly applied to treat musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic pain, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis. Shockwave therapy stimulates the body's natural healing response, encourages tissue regeneration, and enhances blood flow, offering a holistic approach to pain management and recovery.
Meet Dr. Troy McColman
Dr. Troy McColman's love of sports and fitness led him to achieve his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2001 from Palmer College in Iowa. After experiencing a soft tissue injury and discovering the benefits of Active Release Techniques (ART), he knew that there were many therapies out there that would complement chiropractic care in his clinic. Dr. Troy found the Cox Technic while seeking effective treatment for his wife's neck injury after a car accident. After witnessing its success, he became fully certified in both Cox and ART, and now offers these tools, along with laser therapy, shockwave, Graston, and microcurrent therapy, to help his patients move better and live pain-free lives.
