Located in Hepworth, Ontario, our campground has been a beloved destination for over 50 years, offering a range of amenities and activities that cater to all ages and interests.
Our History
Whispering Pines Family Campground is proudly owned and operated by the Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound. Our story began in 1946, when the club leased 75 acres of land for tree planting. Over the years, we've expanded our grounds to 100 acres, constructed modern facilities, and added a variety of amenities to create a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. Today, we're proud to offer 220 sites, including serviced and unserviced options, as well as rental trailers, sleeping cabins, and an enclosed pavilion with WIFI.
Our Facilities
At Whispering Pines, we understand that the great outdoors is what brings us together. That's why we've invested in creating a range of facilities that cater to all your needs. Our campground features two heated saltwater pools, soccer and baseball fields, basketball, hockey, and pickleball courts, as well as beautiful walking trails and a playground for kids. Our Snack Central offers a convenient way to grab a bite to eat or stock up on supplies, and our office is always happy to assist with any queries or concerns.

Facilities and Amenities
The campground offers nice facilities, including two heated pools, well-maintained trails, and play areas for kids. The amenities provided are sufficient, and the park is well set up to cater to the needs of campers.
Staff and Seasonal Campers
The staff and seasonal campers at the campground are friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make visitors feel at home, and the seasonal campers are particularly nice and accommodating.
Cabin and Trailer Rentals
The campground offers cabin and trailer rentals, which are well-maintained and provide a comfortable camping experience. The cabins have beds, but everything else is outdoors, allowing campers to still enjoy the outdoors.

Negative Comments
Some campers had issues with dog owners not following the leash rule, which caused problems for those with dogs that are not dog-friendly. Some campers also found the sites to be small, and the campground to be prone to mosquitoes. Additionally, some visitors felt unwelcome upon arrival, and had issues with harassment from seasonal campers.
