Our story began with Digger Dan, a skilled operator with a passion for equipment operating and a strong work ethic. Growing up on a horse and cattle ranch in Southern Alberta, Dan learned the importance of hard work and diversity. He moved up the ranks, starting from the end of a shovel, to become a proficient operator on all types of heavy equipment. With experience in supervising and managing various projects, Dan established South Cariboo Excavating to share his expertise and passion with the community.

Our excavating services include land clearing and landscaping, trenching and backfilling, fire protection clearing, footings and foundations, and post pounding. Our gravel hauling services feature a Kenworth gravel truck and pup, high-lift gate delivery, and material handling and removal. We also specialize in farm and equestrian services, including arena and round pen preparation, chain harrowing, rock raking, and corral cleaning.
