Our Instructors

Our dedicated and experienced team is committed to providing the highest standard of driving education. Our instructors possess extensive driving knowledge, combined with years of experience in the industry. We understand the importance of combining a professional educational background with in-depth driver training, resulting in exceptionally well-prepared instructors. Moreover, we continuously monitor and upgrade our skills to ensure we employ the most effective and current teaching methods.

Lisa Gould is the certified driving instructor and founder of Safety and Courtesy Driving School. With an undergraduate degree from Mount Allison University and a lifelong passion for driving and cars, Lisa has established a thriving educational organization dedicated to advocating defensive driving habits among newly licensed drivers. Her driving instructor training was completed at Safety Services Nova Scotia in Halifax, and she facilitates both the classroom and in-car portions of the course.

Randy Gould, retired military police veteran and Lisa's husband, is an integral part of the driving school. His extensive military training included numerous instructor courses and evasive driving techniques. Randy, the owner of Main Street Shoe Repair and Letter Shop, is excited to contribute his expertise to the development of a first-class driving school, assisting with the in-car portion of the program.

Both Lisa and Randy are known for their friendly and approachable personalities, ready to foster a comfortable learning environment for all students.

Our Courses

We presently offer two thoughtfully designed driving courses to cater to the diverse needs of our learners:

Defensive Driving Course

This six-hour course is specifically tailored to already licensed drivers, emphasizing the significance of defensive driving techniques to enhance safety on the roads. Our instructors will help participants develop awareness and anticipation of potential hazards, enabling them to react proficiently and accordingly.

Full Course

Our Full Course is a comprehensive program for newly licensed drivers, focusing on the development of lifelong defensive driving habits and ensuring adequate preparation for the road test. This course includes 10 hours of intensive one-on-one driving sessions, along with 25 hours of self-paced online learning. By incorporating theoretical knowledge with practical experience, our Full Course guarantees a well-rounded education for aspiring drivers.
