Our History

Magus Engineering Limited was founded in 1986 by Dave Magus, who started the company as a 'one man shop' with the intent of providing safe and efficient Drilling and Completion operations. With the support of his wife Donna Magus, who handled the administration, the company grew rapidly, primarily through word of mouth and Dave's reputation. Over the years, the company has expanded, and today, we are proud to have a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional services to our clients.

Our Team

Our team is led by experienced professionals who have a deep understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry. Our president, Jeff Magus, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and has worked in various positions in production and reservoir engineering. Our Senior V.P. COO, Steve Magus, has a diploma in Petroleum Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. Our V.P. of Engineering, Gordon Lane, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and our Drilling Superintendent, Leland Melby, has a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technologist. Our team of engineers, project managers, and wellsite supervisors are committed to delivering exceptional services to our clients.
