Our Background
Our founders, Gilles and Adriana, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Gilles is a classically trained chef from France, who apprenticed at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo. He has worked in some of the world's most prestigious kitchens, serving celebrities and royalty alike. Adriana, of Italian descent, is an award-winning pastry chef, trained at George Brown College, and was ranked the top graduate for her field in all of Canada. Together, they have combined their talents and experience to create a unique dining experience that sets Gourmandissimo apart.
Our Business
Since 1999, Gourmandissimo has been proudly serving the Caledon community and surrounding area. We have received numerous awards and accolades for our culinary talents, presentation, and service, as well as for our contributions to many local causes. We believe strongly in giving back to our community and are grateful for the enriching experiences this has brought to us and our family. In 2006, Gourmandissimo took on the role of exclusive caterers to the Best Western Plus in Orangeville, allowing us to host many corporate events, fundraisers, and weddings for up to 280 guests.
Our Experience
As executive chef, Gilles leverages his skills and experience to create menus that are influenced by access to fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. He believes in taking a simple yet effective approach to cooking, "start with fresh top-quality ingredients, and let them shine on the plate." At Gourmandissimo, we make all our sauces, dressings, and soups from scratch in-house, ensuring a top-quality finished product that is free of chemicals and fillers. One of Gilles' secret passions is chocolate, which can be seen in the exquisite attention to detail and flavor that goes into each of our desserts.
