Warman Childcare Centre

Warman Childcare Centre is a licensed childcare facility located in the heart of Warman, Saskatchewan. Since our doors opened on March 1, 2016, we have been committed to providing exceptional childcare to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our center is licensed for 46 children, and we are proud to follow the regulations set out by the Ministry of Education.

Our History

The Warman Childcare Committee was formed in the Spring of 2013, with a vision to create a licensed childcare facility in Warman. At that time, there were only two licensed day homes in the community, and the need for a larger facility was evident. After receiving 43 licensed spots from the Ministry of Education in March 2014, the committee went to work on drawing plans, creating bylaws, applying for charitable status, and working with the City of Warman to find land for the center. In August 2015, construction commenced, and the Warman Childcare Centre was licensed in February 2016, opening its doors on March 1, 2016. In March 2019, we underwent a small renovation, allowing us to increase our total licensed spots to 46.

Our Facility

Our facility is located in the parking lot of the Brian King centre in Warman. We are open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm and closed on weekends and statutory holidays. Our center is designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. We have qualified staff who are certified in Early Childhood Education, First Aid and CPR, and have a passion for working with young children. At Warman Childcare Centre, we prioritize child-led activities, loose parts, and open-ended play, creating a learning environment that fosters creativity and exploration.

Our staff is committed to creating an environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace, with the support of caring and qualified professionals.

A Note from the Board of Directors

As the Chair of the Warman Childcare Centre Board of Directors, I am honored to support a center that upholds high standards for childcare and education. Our board is committed to maintaining oversight and a solid understanding of what is happening at the center, while allowing the director and her staff to make day-to-day decisions. Our director is knowledgeable and passionate about working with young children, which gives us great confidence in her abilities. We prioritize the safety of the children and staff and continue to monitor health concerns as they arise.

Community Involvement

Warman Childcare Centre is proud to be a part of the Warman community. In 2020, we were finalists for the WMBEXA Non Profit of the Year and were featured in the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce Shop Local Video Series. In 2022, we were recipients of the Coop Fuel Good Day. We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our community and are excited to continue to expand our center as Warman grows.
