Disputes with Premiums and Claims
Several reviewers expressed frustration with Peel Mutual Insurance's premiums and claims process. Klapaucius reported a 77% increase in house insurance premiums without explanation, while Cynthia McNeil experienced a significant increase in premiums and waited 8 months for her claim to be processed. Umar Imran Othi and Emad Rn also reported difficulties with claims and customer service.
Difficulty with Policy Changes and Cancellations
Some reviewers reported issues with policy changes and cancellations. Bill Cathers attempted to help his aunt reinstate a lapsed policy, but Peel Mutual refused to continue coverage. Vishal Patel reported that Peel Mutual added "Cancelled based on underwriting" to his record after he cancelled his auto insurance policy, causing issues with other insurance companies.
Poor Customer Service
Several reviewers criticized Peel Mutual's customer service.
