Insure what you value most in life.

For over 35 years, the Three Centuries Shop has been a trusted and respected destination for those seeking exceptional antiques and collectibles. Our story began in 1981 when we first opened our doors in Toronto, Ontario. Since then, we have relocated to our current location in Vancouver, Canada, where we continue to curate an exquisite collection of antique furniture, decorative arts, and other unique items.

Our Passion for Antiques

Our passion for antiques began a long time ago. Our founder, William MacKinnon, has always had a deep appreciation for the beauty and craftsmanship of antique pieces. His love for antiques led him to pursue a career in the field, and he has spent decades sourcing and collecting the finest examples of 18th and 19th-century French furniture and decorative arts.

Our Expertise

At the Three Centuries Shop, we pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge and expertise in the world of antiques. Our team of experts has spent years studying and collecting the finest examples of antique furniture, clocks, paintings, porcelain, and other collectibles. We take great care in researching and documenting the provenance and history of each piece, ensuring that our customers can trust that they are purchasing a genuine antique with a rich story to tell.

Reviews
Positive: The shop has some redeeming qualities, with two reviewers enjoying their visits.
Negative: However, multiple reviewers were turned away due to the shop's unusual policy, and one reviewer even reportedly fell victim to a scam.

Confusing Policy

This antique store has received mixed reviews due to its unusual policy of requiring appointments for customers. Two reviewers, Alex Grundy and Kara Stogryn, shared their negative experiences of being turned away because they didn't have an appointment, despite there being no one in the shop. Grundy, in particular, was surprised by the policy, stating that he has never heard of such a requirement in the antique business. However, this policy seems to be contradicted by the shop's sign, which invites customers to visit "by chance or appointment."

Scams and Disrespect

Tara Zieminek reported a scam attempt where someone claimed to be hiring from the business, and Kara Stogryn felt disrespected when the owner refused to let her in with her family, including a 5-month-old baby.

Positive Experiences

On the other hand, Ru Fm and Monique Wilberg had very different experiences. Fm described the shop as the "grandest antiques shop in town" and had a "very pleasant visit." Wilberg praised the shop's "remarkable knowledge, service, and perspective, " calling it "World Class."
