She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Toxicology and from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, USA. Dr. Sgro is passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered with various organizations, including the Children's Aid Foundation, St. Michael's Hospital Foundation, and Me to We.
