Experience the thrill of water biking over the water

At Neighbourhood Legal Services, we are a non-profit and independent community legal clinic that has been serving the community since 1973. Our mission is to provide free legal services and assistance to low-income individuals who live within our catchment area and qualify for our services. We believe that the low-income residents of our community have a right to access to justice through effective legal representation, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to direct their own destinies.

Our Work & Your Support Staff

We are dedicated to providing the low-income residents of our community with high-quality legal advice, representation, and services intended to promote their welfare. We work with the community to address the root causes of poverty and systemic legal problems facing low-income people. We are committed to the promotion of the values contained in the Ontario Human Rights Code, and to non-discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family relationship, receipt of social assistance and/or disability.

Our Services & Eligibility

We offer a range of legal services including public legal education, law reform, and community development. To be eligible for our services, individuals must live within our catchment area. We have a printable referral guide available for agencies and service providers.

Online Intake

Our online intake process allows you to provide us with the necessary information to assess your eligibility for our services. Once we receive your complete intake, we will respond within 2-3 business days. Please note that you must live in our catchment area to be eligible for our services. Confirm that you live within our catchment area as part of the online intake process.
