Tri City Group is built on a legacy of excellence, dating back to the mid-1960s when our founder, Michael Goodman, began building houses with his father, Henry. About Our Founder
Michael Goodman's journey in the construction industry began with his father, a master craftsman who instilled in him a passion for building and a commitment to excellence. Growing up, Michael was exposed to the intricacies of carpentry, learning the fine skills of custom carpentry alongside his father. As a child, Michael was handed a paintbrush at the tender age of nine and was taught how to prepare a surface for a flawless paint job.
Early Years
After completing high school, Michael pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while working on multiple house projects alongside his father. He continued to develop his craftsmanship by working on renovations and new constructions, eventually joining the carpenter's union. Michael's passion for marine woodwork and floating homes led him to purchase waterfront property, where he built a floating home marina, complete with elevated wharves and complex floating docks.
A Legacy of Innovation
Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a passion for innovative design. His expertise in custom carpentry and marine woodwork has earned him a reputation as a master craftsman. Michael's innovative approach to construction has enabled him to build complex and unique structures, such as the floating home he constructed on concrete barges.
A New Era of Growth
In the late 1990s, Michael's path crossed with Len Schellenberg, an experienced builder with a similar passion for excellence. Together, they developed the Okanagan Breeze subdivision in Vernon, a project that showcased their collaborative vision for innovative design and exceptional craftsmanship.
