Our Story
The '98 Hotel is a piece of Yukon history, located in the heart of downtown Whitehorse. With its rich heritage dating back to the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, our hotel has been a staple of the community for generations. From its humble beginnings as a saloon to its current status as a charming boutique hotel, we've been privileged to play host to countless visitors, locals, and adventurers alike.
Our Rooms
Our five unique guest rooms are a testament to the hotel's rich history and cultural heritage. Each room is authentically themed, featuring a mix of antique furnishings, original Yukon art, and local photography. Guests can enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere of the Angler, the Hunter, the Dancer, the Prospector, or the Barmaid, each one special in its own way. All rooms are situated on the ground floor, making it easy to access the hotel's shared amenities, including a kitchenette and three shared washrooms.

Our History
The '98 Hotel has a rich history that dates back to the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. Our hotel was originally a saloon, which opened its doors in 1943. In the 1950s, we converted one of our saloons into a hotel and have been welcoming guests ever since. Over the years, we've undergone several renovations, but our commitment to preserving our unique heritage and cultural traditions has remained unwavering.
