Our Story
Dr. Traynor's journey in optometry began in Scotland, where he graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1982. With extensive experience in clinical practice and a private practice in Glasgow, Scotland, Dr. Traynor opened his first practice in Glasgow, which grew to include two more locations, including a luxury eyewear boutique. He also developed an optical surfacing and edging lab to ensure optimal quality and service standards.
In 1992, Dr. Traynor relocated to Canada, joining the University of Waterloo for an accelerated program, where he graduated in 1994. He then worked alongside Dr. Barbara Caffrey and Dr. Josh Josephson in one of Toronto's busiest and well-known practices. This experience led to his involvement in contact lens research, a field he pursued for 18 years.
Today, our Oakville office brings together Dr. Traynor's extensive experience, cutting-edge technology, and passion for top-quality eyewear. We strive to provide exceptional eyecare, pursuing his interest in the contact lens field and sharing his passion for world-class eyewear.

Ortho K
OrthoK is a non-surgical procedure designed to eliminate the need for corrective lenses. A custom-designed contact lens is worn overnight, gently reshaping the corneal curvature to provide clear vision throughout the day without glasses or contacts.
