Our Story

At Rico's Foods, we take pride in our rich history and commitment to providing authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine to our customers. Our story begins with Enrico Palarchio, our founder, who came to Canada from Italy in 1959 with a passion for the food industry. With his culinary expertise as a chef in Italy, Enrico worked tirelessly to master the art of creating traditional Italian dishes that would delight the senses.

Enrico's dedication to his craft led him to work in various roles, including as a butcher and manager at a local meat market and food store. His hard work paid off, and he eventually opened his first Meat & Deli Shop in 1965. Today, his sons, Eugene and Fiore, run the successful Paesano Foods store, specializing in gourmet hot deli, take-out, and frozen prepared entrees.
