Services
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapy services combine clinical expertise with personalized care to address musculoskeletal conditions. We treat sports injuries, chronic pain, and post-surgical recovery through evidence-based techniques. Each session focuses on restoring mobility and improving quality of life through tailored treatment plans.
Intramuscular Stimulation
This specialized dry needling technique targets muscle and joint pain through precise needle insertion. Our physiotherapists use IMS to treat chronic pain conditions and musculoskeletal imbalances. The treatment promotes natural healing while addressing underlying neuromuscular dysfunction.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Our vestibular rehabilitation program addresses dizziness and balance disorders through targeted exercises. Physiotherapists assess inner ear function and develop customized treatment plans to improve stability. This specialized therapy helps patients regain confidence in daily activities.
BioFlex Photobiomodulation
This non-invasive treatment uses specific light wavelengths to reduce inflammation and accelerate tissue repair. We apply BioFlex therapy for joint pain, nerve conditions, and soft tissue injuries. The treatment enhances cellular function while promoting natural healing processes.
Sports Injury Treatment
Our sports injury specialists create rehabilitation programs for athletes at all levels. Treatment combines manual therapy, exercise prescription, and sport-specific training. We focus on restoring performance capabilities while preventing future injuries through biomechanical analysis.

Questions
What happens during my first physiotherapy appointment?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive assessment, medical history review, and collaborative treatment plan development. The physiotherapist will conduct physical tests, explain your diagnosis, and begin treatment during this 1-hour session.
Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?
Most private health plans cover physiotherapy services. Motor vehicle accident claims and WCB claims receive full coverage. We offer direct billing for Blue Cross members and provide receipts for insurance submission.
Why is Renew Physio different from other clinics?
We provide 100% physiotherapist-led care with no treatment aides. Your appointments include full one-on-one time with the same physiotherapist who develops and delivers your entire treatment plan from start to finish.
What should I bring for my first appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing and bring any relevant medical records, diagnostic imaging reports, and your Alberta Blue Cross card if applicable. We recommend bringing shorts for lower body injury assessments.
Will Alberta Health Care cover my treatment?
We operate outside the AHS funding model to maintain our patient-centered approach. While not covered by Alberta Health Care, our fees include comprehensive one-on-one treatment time with licensed physiotherapists.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We require appointments for assessments and treatments. However, we welcome visitors to tour our facilities and discuss their physiotherapy needs with our team before booking.
