These portfolios invest primarily in North American securities and utilize an event-driven and fundamental investment approach supported by strong financial analytics to uncover investment securities poised for near-term upside, as well as longer-term growth and value opportunities.
• Galliant Equity Long/Short (GELS) Fund: The GELS Fund is an actively managed equity long/short fund that invests primarily in North American securities. This fund employs an event-driven and fundamental investment approach supported by strong financial analytics to successfully uncover securities poised for near-term share price movement. Our objective is to make prudent decisions that will enable us to outperform the market while reducing risk by limiting net market exposure, which is typically around 50%.
• Galliant Market Neutral (GMN) Fund: The GMN Fund is an actively managed market-neutral, long/short equity fund that invests primarily in North American securities. This fund utilizes an event-driven and fundamental investment approach supported by strong financial analytics in order to find the ideal balanced mix of long and short equity securities. The Fund's investment objective is to generate strong risk-adjusted returns, while limiting market exposure, which is typically around 20%, to ensure capital preservation.
