Excellent Sales Experience
Many customers have had a positive experience with Barry Jay's sales team, particularly with John McLevin. He was described as professional, knowledgeable, and helpful, providing a low-pressure buying experience. He explained everything about the boat to customers and ensured they were comfortable with their purchase.
Customers appreciated John's patience and expertise in helping them choose the right boat for their needs. He also provided a thorough orientation on the proper operation and maintenance of the boat upon pickup. His exceptional customer service and follow-up made the purchasing process smooth and enjoyable.
Other customers also praised the finance department, specifically Ken, who ensured all necessary details were addressed, and Ed, who provided additional knowledge about boats and electronics.
Great After-Sales Service
Some customers experienced issues with their boats after purchase, but Barry Jay's service department resolved the problems promptly and even provided compensation for unexpected issues. Kelly Thornton mentioned that the service department, led by Neil, did not charge her for labour despite the delay in receiving parts due to COVID-19.
A Few Disappointments
Alfred L'Hirondelle had a less positive experience when the dash around the gauges and glove box of his 2006 Glastron cracked after only two months. Although the warranty did not cover this issue, he felt that the dealership should have offered some assistance with the repair cost.
