At the Canadian Mental Health Association - Newfoundland and Labrador (CMHA-NL), we are dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities across the province. As a leading mental health organization, we provide a range of services and programs aimed at education, support, and advocacy for mental health.
Our Services
Our Workplace Mental Health Program addresses work/life balance, building respectful workplaces, and dealing with stress and mental illness in the workplace. Our Education Program offers mental health and mental illness awareness and educational sessions for children, youth, young adults, and parents through schools, community groups, and community centers. We also provide customized training and educational sessions for individuals, workplaces, schools, and other groups, ranging from two-day certification courses to lunch-and-learns.

Our mission is to promote the mental health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities across Newfoundland and Labrador. We strive to create a society that values and supports the mental health and well-being of all individuals, and we work towards this goal by building capacity, influencing policy, providing services, and developing resources.
Our Values and Principles
At CMHA-NL, we value the voices of people with mental health issues and promote inclusion and collaboration in all our work. We focus on the mental health needs of all age groups and work to influence the social determinants of health, such as housing and justice. Our core functions include building capacity, influencing policy, providing services, and developing resources to address mental health needs across the province.
