Airdrie & District Agricultural Society

The Airdrie & District Agricultural Society (ADAS) is a non-profit organization that has been an active part of the community for over 100 years. Since our founding in 1909, we have played a vital role in promoting education, business, sport, and family fun in Rocky View and Airdrie. Our organization is committed to supporting the local community through various initiatives, including steer shows, 4-H programs, scholarships, and free agriculture-related events that are fun for the whole family.

Our Mission and Values

At ADAS, we are guided by our vision, mission, and values. Our vision is to create a healthy, growing community where agriculture is respected, supported, and understood. Our mission is to develop facilities and programs that provide opportunities to experience, understand, and value agriculture. Our values emphasize building a strong, healthy future for the entire community through awareness of agriculture, recreation, and environment. We value our communities, both rural and urban, and believe strongly in working together. We also believe in our youth and their contribution to our future, specifically in support of their education, activities, cultural heritage, and volunteerism in the community.

Our Events and Programs

We organize and host a number of family-friendly local events that help connect our strong rural roots with the urban centre we have now become. This includes a spring seeding event, a Ranch Hand Competition, and our Art of the Harvest in the fall. For a list of all our events, please see our events page.
