Our Services
At Clode Sound Motel, we offer a range of services and amenities to make your stay with us unforgettable. Our rooms are comfortable and spacious, each with its own entry and kitchenette, and patio decks that provide a convenient and relaxing setting. We also offer a range of amenities, including FREE Wi-Fi, HD T.V., air conditioning, housekeeping service, family restaurant/bakery, room service, tennis court, playground, indoor hot tub, heated swimming pool, stone BBQ pits, and 2 communal propane firepits. Our restaurant serves delicious meals, and we have a bakery on site that offers fresh pastries and bread.
Our Location
Our motel is located in a prime location, just minutes away from a range of activities and attractions. We are 10 minutes east of Sandy Pond freshwater beach, 5 minutes from hiking trails, 15 minutes east of Terra Nova National Park of Canada Visitor Centre, 15 minutes east of Sea Kayaking & Boat Tour, 20 minutes east of Splash 'N Putt Park, and 15 minutes west of award-winning Twin Rivers Golf Course & Eagle Creek Golf Course. We are also 40 minutes south of Eastport & Sandy Cove beaches.
Accommodations
The hotel rooms were described as immaculate and clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. However, some rooms lacked modern amenities, such as air conditioning, had old TVs with no HDMI hookup, and small refrigerators.
Staff and Service
The staff were consistently praised for being friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The housekeeper was particularly commended for going above and beyond to ensure guests' needs were met. The servers in the restaurant were also friendly and provided great service.
Dining
The restaurant received high praise for its delicious food, reasonably priced meals, and large portions. The fries and coconut cream pie were highlighted as particularly tasty. The artwork in the restaurant was also appreciated, and the friendly waitress even helped a guest schedule a golf tee time.
Amenities
The hotel offered a range of amenities, including a pool, hot tub, basketball net, and swings. However, some guests were disappointed by the lack of private BBQs and the limitations of the BBQ pits available.
Value
Some guests felt that the hotel was pricey, especially considering the dated amenities in some rooms. However, others felt that the friendly staff and great amenities made it a good value.
