Casino Dene

Casino Dene has been a cornerstone of entertainment in the Lakeland region since our grand opening on September 27, 2007. Established through a visionary partnership between the Denesuline (Chipewyan) Tribe of Cold Lake First Nations and the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, we have grown into one of Alberta's premier entertainment destinations. Our 250+ gaming options, including slots, VLTs, and table games with stakes up to $100, cater to both casual players and high rollers. The Aurora Bar & Lounge elevates dining with daily specials like Prime Rib Fridays and Wing Night Wednesdays, complemented by a vibrant non-smoking atmosphere and signature cocktails. We prioritize community impact through initiatives like our Community Support Bottle Program, which has donated $400-$700 every three weeks to local charities since inception.

Our venue features free live weekend entertainment, karaoke nights, and a loyalty program rewarding regular guests. Strategically located 7 km south of Cold Lake on First Nations reserve lands, we serve a regional catchment area spanning communities within a 45-minute drive. Our security team ensures guest safety with escort services to vehicles, while our partnership with Hotel Dene across the parking lot provides convenient accommodation options. With operating hours extending to 3am on weekends, we offer extended entertainment for those seeking late-night excitement in a regulated, responsible environment.
