Our Story

Affordable Security Systems was founded by Jason Cowin, a life-long Midland resident who values community and security. With over a decade of experience in the private security industry, Jason understands the desire to protect what matters most. After serving his community as a Peace Officer for 10 years, Jason decided to offer his community security in another way. Our company is regulated and licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety-Private Security Bureau (Lic#B18776) and is A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau, giving our customers peace of mind knowing they are dealing with a reputable and honest company.

We are a locally owned family company. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals who share our commitment to providing exceptional customer service and security solutions. Our owner, Jason Cowin, is a former Texas Peace Officer who brings a unique perspective to each job. Valarie Cowin, our owner and software programmer, is a life-long Midlander who joined the Affordable Security team in 2014 to assist Jason as the company grew.
