Here at Fitness Etc, we are proud to be the largest supplement and fitness store on Vancouver Island. Our journey began over 15 years ago when our founder, Chad Braithwaite, opened a small store in Campbell River, British Columbia. With a passion for fitness and a background in bodybuilding and nutrition, Chad set out to create a one-stop shop for all fitness enthusiasts.
Our Story
Chad's journey to opening Fitness Etc began in Saskatchewan, where he managed a restaurant and developed a strong understanding of nutrition and supplements. He soon found himself drawn to the world of fitness, and in 2006, he made the bold move to open his own store in Campbell River. Over the years, the store continued to grow, and in 2011, Chad became the sole owner of the business.
In 2013, Chad made the decision to purchase a new location, which would become the hub of all things fitness under one roof. With a 4500 sq ft building, Fitness Etc was finally able to stock everything from supplements to weight equipment, cardio equipment, mixed martial arts gear, and more. This vision was born out of a desire to provide the community with the best selection and prices available.
