The Teak Tree

Founded in 1999, we are a family-owned business specializing in handcrafted grade A teak furniture for residential and commercial spaces. Our founder, David Stansfield, established direct relationships with Indonesian artisans through two decades of industry experience, ensuring access to sustainably sourced materials and traditional craftsmanship. We offer a comprehensive selection of teak furniture including dining tables, chairs, bed frames, and custom-designed pieces tailored to client specifications. Our commitment to quality extends to personal delivery, assembly, and post-purchase maintenance support. We prioritize sustainable practices by sourcing wood from managed plantations and supporting local communities in Indonesia.

With a retail outlet operating since 2003 on Vancouver Island, we serve customers across Greater Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Our expertise in teak woodworking combines ancient carving traditions with modern design aesthetics. We provide free shipping on orders over $2,500 for local customers and maintain partnerships with family-run workshops to ensure product authenticity. Our 20-year track record demonstrates our dedication to delivering durable, eco-friendly furniture solutions. We offer in-home design consultations for select Vancouver Island locations and maintain transparent communication throughout the custom design process.
