Located on the picturesque Trent Severn Waterway, Woodland Camp Site is a family-run business that has been providing memorable camping experiences since 1961. Situated on a stunning sheltered bay of Buckhorn Lake, our camping resort offers a peaceful and relaxed environment, making it the perfect place for families and individuals alike to create lasting memories.

Waterfront Camping at Its Finest

At Woodland Camp Site, water is the main attraction. With beautiful waterfront sites and a fantastic child-friendly beach, our camping resort is the perfect place to soak up the sun and enjoy various water activities. Our beach features water toys and a swim platform, while our lake offers excellent opportunities for boating, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Buckhorn Lake is known for its great fishing, with species such as walleye, bass, muskie, and various pan fish available for anglers. The lake is also part of the Tri-Lakes system, allowing boaters to explore Chemong and Pigeon Lake without having to go through any locks.

Amenities and Activities for Everyone

Woodland Camp Site offers a variety of amenities and activities to ensure an enjoyable and memorable stay. Our resort features two playgrounds, a sports pad for tennis, basketball, and street hockey, as well as a basketball court and beach volleyball. We also offer kayak, canoe, and paddle boat rentals, and have weekly pump out services available. Our clean washrooms and coin-operated showers, walking and bike trails, and controlled access gate provide added convenience and security for our guests.

Our camping resort is just a short drive or boat ride away from the charming towns of Buckhorn, Bridgenorth, and Bobcaygeon, as well as the city of Peterborough. Rent a kayak or canoe, visit local art galleries, walk the trails at the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park, bring your bikes for a leisurely ride, catch a movie at Kinmount's unique museum theatre, or take in a round of golf at one of the local courses. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy in the area!

Seasonal and Transient Sites

Woodland Camp Site offers 130 seasonal sites and 45 transient sites, all with water and beach front sites given priority for reservations one week in advance. Our seasonal sites are available in lakefront, lakeview, and wooded options, each offering a unique and enjoyable camping experience. Our transient sites are located on the water's edge and offer amazing views and access to the lake.

Reservation and Office Hours

Our camping resort is open from Victoria Day weekend through Thanksgiving weekend. Reservations can be made by contacting our office during office hours, which are Monday to Thursday from 10am-4pm, Friday from 10am-9pm, Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Sunday from 10am-1pm. Please note that a $20 cash deposit is required upon arrival for the gate card.
