Technician Knowledge and Performance
Author Nilesh Patel reported that the technician sent to fix his furnace had little knowledge, spending over an hour on the job without identifying the problem. The manager arrived and fixed the issue in under 10 minutes, resetting the pilot light. This experience was deemed terrible, and the customer felt robbed due to the 1.5-hour charge for only 10 minutes of work.
Service Response Time and Punctuality
Darlene Mcgregor mentioned that the repair man was late and broke a hose, which led to a longer wait for a new part. Grand Valley Mechanical's policy to charge from when they leave the shop was questioned, as it seems unfair to those living closer to the shop. The 4-hour charge for a small fix was also considered excessive.
