At George's Farm Centre, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated establishment since the early 1960s, serving farmers in Alberta and around the world. Our humble beginnings started in Olds, and in 1998, we moved to Penhold, where we currently operate. Over the years, we've expanded our product lines to include Flexi-Coil, Macdon, Pillar Lasers Inc, and FreeForm products, solidifying our position as an authorized dealership serving the Penhold area.
Our Story
George's Farm Centre was founded by George Groeneveld in 1960 in Penhold, Alberta, in a small shop. He started off selling Allis Chalmers tractors and doing general repairs with his brother Floyd. In 1967, he bought out an existing Allis Chalmers dealership in Olds, Alberta, and moved the operation to Olds. He continued to sell Allis Chalmers equipment from there and added Hesston Haying Equipment and Gleaner combines to the line up. In 1990, Agco was formed to buy out Deutz Allis, which saw more changes to George's Farm Centre. Since 1998, George's Farm Centre has been operating back in Penhold until today.
