Your Premier Sports & Recreation Destination in Deep River
Established in 1944, Deep River Shoreline Sports Club (DRSSC) has evolved from its origins as the Deep River Yacht & Tennis Club into a vibrant community hub along the Ottawa River. Our organization offers a diverse range of sports programs including sailing, tennis, pickleball, and rowing for both youth and adults, supported by qualified instructors and volunteer-driven committees. With a commitment to inclusivity, we provide free junior memberships, affordable programs, and accessible facilities that welcome both members and the broader community. The Hexagon Restaurant, launched in 2022, enhances our offerings with riverside dining experiences while serving as a venue for private events. As a not-for-profit corporation governed by transparent bylaws, we prioritize community engagement through volunteer opportunities, social events, and partnerships with local organizations. Our facilities, including eight dedicated pickleball courts added in 2023, reflect our ongoing investment in modernizing infrastructure to meet evolving member needs. Through structured programs like junior sailing schools following national CANSail standards and adult learn-to-sail initiatives, we cultivate lifelong skills while fostering social connections. Our volunteer-led model ensures operational efficiency while maintaining low membership fees, demonstrating our commitment to accessible recreation. With over 80 years of service, we continue to adapt to contemporary demands while preserving our historical legacy as a cornerstone of Deep River's cultural and recreational landscape.
