Our Services

At The Retreat, we offer a range of services and amenities to make your stay with us comfortable and enjoyable. Our units offer double and family accommodations with fully equipped kitchens, and your private cedar deck looks out to the strait and gorgeous evening sunsets end the day. Clear skies at night let star gazers pick out their favourite constellations and planets. We are situated next door to Shelter Point Regional Park, which offers boating, camping, and food services. There are also restaurants and grocery stores in Gillies Bay and Van Anda, as well as a gas station, a credit union, a medical clinic, and the Royal Canadian Legion.

Things to Do

Texada Island is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the island's many trails and old logging roads. The Nature Trail is a groomed trail that can be a pleasant stroll or a vigorous walk. Bring your kayak or car topper for some boating fun, or try your hand at shellfish gathering (license required). The island is also home to many populations of deer, and seals and sea lions can be spotted swimming through the waters.

Our accommodations are also the perfect base for exploring the island's many attractions, including the nine-hole golf course, which is open year-round at reasonable prices. Two tennis courts are also available in Gillies Bay for play.
