Our History
Founded in 1967, the company began its journey as the Golden Clipper, an innovative concept in full-service hair care for men. Over the years, we've grown to become the largest single employer of beauty professionals in Atlantic Canada, with over 420 associates throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Our journey began with a passion for improving the quality of life within the beauty industry and a vision to take the company to the next level of service excellence. Our current owner/president, Peter Mahoney, embarked on the next phase of our journey, committing to re-innovate our organizational structure and respond to the needs of our associates and clients. Empowering our associates with entrepreneurial spirit, we created our organizational value system, known as P.R.I.D.E. - PASSION, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DEDICATION, and ENTHUSIASM. This values-based approach has produced outstanding results, with all-time highs in associate retention and client satisfaction.
