During his residency, Dr. Barnsley was accepted into the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Clinician Investigator Program, where he held a National Cancer Institute of Canada research fellowship and completed an MSc in Epidemiology and Community Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

After becoming a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Barnsley pursued an additional year of advanced clinical training in Las Vegas, Nevada, under the esteemed plastic surgeon Dr. William Zamboni. During this fellowship, he received specialized training in breast and aesthetic surgery, hand and microsurgery. After eight years of rigorous training in plastic surgery, Dr. Barnsley and his family decided to settle down on Vancouver Island, where he has been serving patients in Nanaimo for several years.

The office is open from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday. The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
