Hi there! I'm Joelle Adelson, a collaborative lawyer and mediator specializing in family law matters. My approach to family law

I guide my clients through Collaborative Divorce and Mediation, both processes that encourage open communication, shared decision-making, and respectful negotiation. This approach is particularly effective in minimizing the negative impacts of separation and enabling you to maintain a working relationship with your ex-partner, co-parent, or business partner.

1. Collaborative Divorce

• A process where separating spouses and their collaboratively-trained lawyers work together respectfully to create the best possible solution for the family.
• This minimizes conflict, reduces legal fees, and allows you to maintain control over the outcome.

2. Mediation

• A form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) where you and your ex-partner work together with a neutral third party (me!) to identify interests, concerns, and reach mutually beneficial agreements.

• Agreements made inside or outside a marriage that define financial, property, or parenting arrangements.
