At MacQueen's Bike Shop, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of cyclists of all levels. Our bike shop is fully equipped to handle sales, professional repairs, rentals, and more. Our team of experienced mechanics is dedicated to ensuring that your bike is in top condition, whether you're a local resident or a visitor looking to explore the Island on two wheels. We're open year-round and accept service customers on a first-come, first-served basis. While appointments aren't required for repairs, we rarely work on bikes while customers wait in the shop - we always aim for as quick a turnaround time as possible on all service jobs.

Bike Rentals

Our bike rental fleet features a diverse selection of high-quality bicycles, including deluxe hybrids, e-assist, road bikes, tandems, youth bikes, trailers, and accessories. We maintain our rental fleet with meticulous care, ensuring that every bike is in excellent condition for our customers. We offer a generous 24-hour daily rental period, and when arranged in advance, we accept early (after hours) returns at no extra charge. Short-term luggage storage is also available as an add-on for rental and tour clients. To help you plan your ride, we offer free Charlottetown day trip downloads, and our online rates and equipment availability make it easy to book your rental bike in advance.

Confederation Trail Shuttle

Explore the beauty of Prince Edward Island on two wheels with our Confederation Trail Shuttle service. This scenic trail, built on the former railbed, is perfect for those looking to avoid vehicular traffic and take in the stunning scenery of the Island. Our shuttle service is ideal for travelers who want to cycle from western PEI to eastern PEI, and we offer morning shuttles to western PEI and afternoon shuttles from eastern PEI. Our rates, schedule, and online request form make it easy to plan your trip.

PEI Self-Guided Cycle Tours

Our self-guided cycle tours offer unparalleled flexibility for cyclists of all levels. Choose your program and start date, and we'll take care of the rest. Our digital routes make it easy to stop, eat, and cycle when and where you wish. Supported Independent Tours include luggage transfers, Emergency Road Repair Insurance for MacQueen's rental equipment, and accommodation bookings, route plotting, meal, and activity suggestions by local experts. We also offer Island Walk by Bike and Confederation Trail tour programs with optional luggage transfer service, and equipment rental is optional.

WowCuba: Cycling Adventures

As WowCuba, we've been arranging insightful cycling journeys in Cuba since 1993. Our unique focus on sustainable bicycle travel takes you off the beaten path to experience the authentic Cuba. Our cycling adventures can be undertaken in the winter (cooler/dry season) either as a private group or on select dates with individual sign-up. We also offer year-round bicycle adventures on a supported independent basis with digital routes and luggage transfers. If variety is your thing, we often spice things up by arranging hiking, diving, and kayaking adventures for our guests to actively explore more of Cuba's hidden gems.

Our Management

Meet the faces behind MacQueen's Bike Shop and WowCuba. Danny MacQueen, our owner and chief mechanic, is a master of his craft and has been leading cycle tours in Cuba for years. Mirley Ferro Parra, a former member of Cuba's national women's cycling team, is an accomplished competitive rider and expert in bicycle rentals and logistics. Kristen MacQueen, our business administrator, oversees the family's businesses and ensures the smooth operation of our tour programs.
