Highbury Gardens: A Peaceful and Clean RV Park
Highbury Gardens, an RV park in New Minas, Nova Scotia, is a gem for campers and nature lovers alike. It has received numerous positive reviews from visitors, who praise the park's cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings.
Positive Feedback
The park's friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere are highlighted by many reviewers. The park's cleanliness and maintenance are also highly praised, with visitors noting the well-kept grounds and facilities. The park's location is convenient for those looking to explore the surrounding area, with many wineries and restaurants nearby.
Many reviewers appreciate the park's peacefulness, describing it as a "hidden gem" and noting that it is "quiet and peaceful, even when the place filled up on the weekend." The park's swimming pool and laundry facilities are also popular among visitors.
The park's staff, particularly the owner Marvin, are frequently mentioned in positive reviews. He is described as "fantastic to deal with, " "super kind and helpful, " and someone who "always takes pride in the grounds." His efforts to create a sense of community among campers are also appreciated, with one reviewer noting that he "bought 2 turkeys for the campers and we all had a potluck in the hall."
Negative Feedback
However, not all reviews are positive. A few visitors have noted issues with noise, particularly from seasonal campers and the nearby road. One reviewer mentioned that the "seasonal campers decide when weekend campers go to bed & wake up, " which disrupted their stay. Another noted that the "main road which is loud at time" made it difficult to fully enjoy the park.
Additionally, some reviewers have mentioned that the park's tent sites are not as well-equipped as the RV sites. One reviewer noted that there are no electricity outlets available for inflating air mattresses, and that the trash box is far away. Another mentioned that the washroom facilities are small and lacking in ventilation, and that the showers require quarters to operate.
Overall
Despite a few negative comments, the overall sentiment towards Highbury Gardens is overwhelmingly positive. Visitors appreciate the park's cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings, making it a popular destination for those looking to explore the Nova Scotia countryside.
