Building Elite, Respectful Athletes one session at a time

The Saskatchewan Karate Association (SKA) was established in 1977 with the aim of promoting and developing Karate as a martial art and sport throughout the province. The Association has brought together a number of systems or styles of Karate that meet the required ethical and technical standards of training and instruction. Our primary mandate is to encourage participation in Karate from a diverse area and population, while standardizing and supervising the quality of Karate instruction throughout the province.

The SKA is dedicated to instructing "Karate-Do, " which is the Karate way, and examining and registering student ranking and other technical qualifications. We sponsor seminars and other events, and develop qualified coaches, instructors, and officials. The Association cooperates with other organizations for the development of Karate and engages in other activities that assist in achieving our goals. We are proud to provide coaches, instructors, and officials who are trained in Respect in Sports, an anti-bullying awareness program.
