Our story began in 1952 when Jack Patten, the founder of Bastion Trophies, began training as a sign writer at the Brighton College of Art in England. Jack spent his entire career as a sign painter, eventually buying Bastion Trophies in 1984. This purchase marked our family's introduction to the world of engraving, etching, and computer-generated signs. The skills and knowledge gained from professional sign writing translated seamlessly into this industry, allowing us to provide exceptional layout and design services to this day.
At Bastion Engraving, we take great pride in the fact that we do all of our work in-house on state-of-the-art equipment. We were the first shop on Vancouver Island to have a computerized engraving machine and one of the first to provide laser engraving services.
