Empowering our Community through Movement and Fun

The Prince George Gymnastics Club is a non-profit organization that operates under the Societies Act of British Columbia. Established in 1988, the club is a result of the amalgamation of two local gymnastics clubs - the PG School of Artistic Gymnastics and Gympix. Since its inception, the club has grown significantly, now serving over 1400 members in its recreational and competitive programs.

Our club operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, who meet monthly to discuss the administrative business of the club and set policies. A staff of professional coaches coordinates, implements, and administers the sport of gymnastics at the club, while the board represents the parents of the club and encourages their participation and input.

Club History

Before becoming the Prince George Gymnastics Club, there were two gymnastics clubs in Prince George - the PG School of Artistic Gymnastics, located on Tomlin Road, and Gympix, located at the Connaught Youth Centre. These two clubs amalgamated in August 1988, and the Prince George Gymnastics Club was born, initially located on Tomlin Road.

In 1989, the newly formed club had close to 300 gymnasts. By 2018, the club had grown to over 1300 enrolled in its recreational program and 137 in its competitive programs. In the spring of 1994, the PG Gymnastics club moved to its current location at the Exhibition Sports Centre, which is rented from the City of Prince George.

Services Offered

The Prince George Gymnastics Club offers a wide range of services, including recreational gymnastics programs for children aged 1 to 16, adult classes, trampoline classes, and interclub/Xcel competitive gymnastics. The club also offers summer camps, birthday parties, school tours, and funding opportunities through JumpStart, Athletics for Kids, and Kids Sport.

Our recreational programs follow the Canadian Gymnastics Federation's CANGYM program, which includes badge levels and progressive skill development. The club also offers Adaptive Needs classes for children with physical and developmental disabilities, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.

In addition to our regular programming, the club hosts several events throughout the year, including the PG Invitational, GYM-A-THON, and Pro Day. These events provide opportunities for gymnasts to showcase their skills and talents, as well as fundraising events to support the club's activities.
