Our roots date back to 2012, when co-owners Eric Gummer and Derrick Paas combined their considerable talents to create Thomas Philips Woodworking Ltd. With a shared vision to provide high-quality cabinetry and millwork, we began our journey, driven by a passion for creating exceptional products. Over the years, we have built a reputation for delivering unparalleled expertise, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction. Our commitment to quality has earned us 13 Gold CARE Awards and numerous Silver Awards, solidifying our position as a leading provider of custom cabinetry and millwork.
Our Team
Our team consists of experienced and skilled professionals, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. Eric Gummer, co-owner and master craftsman, has been creating impeccably crafted cabinetry and millwork for nearly 20 years. With his Red Seal Ticket in joinery and numerous awards under his belt, Eric is dedicated to delivering flawless results. Derrick Paas, co-owner and Journeyman Carpenter, has over 25 years of experience working in high-end custom homes and cabinetry, with a focus on absolute customer satisfaction. Our shop foreman, Tristan Bradley, is a Red Seal Journeyman Joiner with extensive experience in crafting, problem-solving, and creating work to be proud of. Our designer, Julia Rego, brings a unique combination of mechanical engineering and interior design expertise, allowing her to approach design with a clear understanding of functionality and aesthetics.

Customer Experience
The reviews presented a mixed bag of experiences with this company. On one hand, Yb Douglas had a very positive experience, giving them a 5-star rating. They found the company to be "very personable and professional at all times" and appreciated the attention to detail in their work. The customer was happy with the end result and felt that the cost was reasonable. They would definitely use the company again in the future.
On the other hand, Bird had a disappointing experience, giving them a 1-star rating. They felt that there was a lack of continuity and attention to detail in the work done on their project. They suggested that the company would benefit from having the same crew work on a project from start to finish, rather than rotating installers daily. Unfortunately, this reviewer did not feel that the company met their expectations and would not recommend them.
