In 2012/2013, The Rusty Anchor Restaurant was named one of the 20 must-see places for 2013 by National Geographic Traveler Magazine's "Best of the World" list, and for good reason. The magazine specifically mentioned The Rusty Anchor as the only place to eat in Cape Breton. In 2016, The Rusty Anchor Restaurant was also selected for the Culture Trip Cape Breton Island Local Favorites Award and named one of Cape Breton Island's 10 Best Restaurants by Anchor by Sergey Patutin from the Noun Project.
Hours of Operation
We are excited to announce that we will be opening for the season on May 20, 2023. Our hours of operation are from 11:30 am to 8 pm, seven days a week. Reservations are not required, and we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, we do accept reservations for parties of 10 or more.
