Welcome to the Art Gallery of Algoma, located in the heart of Robinson-Huron Treaty territory, specifically in the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Garden River and Batchewana First Nations, as well as Metis and Cree Peoples. We are committed to upholding the values of truth and reconciliation and respectfully aligning with the Indigenous community.

The AGA is a visual arts institution dedicated to celebrating culture, educating the public, and showcasing the arts. We are a premier cultural destination in northern Ontario, renowned for our unique exhibitions, innovative programming, and extensive permanent collection. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and accessible space for the community to engage with art, artists, and ideas.

Exhibitions and Programming

We are proud to offer a diverse range of exhibitions, featuring both local and international artists. Our current exhibitions include "Cobalt: A Mining Town and the Canadian Imagination, " "Love of Canadian Wilderness, " "Fifteen Minutes of Fame, " and "Vault on Display." Additionally, our lobby features a selection from the permanent collection of Norval Morrisseau. Our Sculpture Park and Online Exhibitions offer unique perspectives and engaging experiences for all visitors.

Visitor Information

We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and admission is free for AGA Members and children under 12. Adult admission is $7.00, while students and seniors (55+) can enjoy our exhibitions for just $5.00. Our Art Gallery of Algoma Window Projections Display is available for viewing from Tuesday to Saturday, sundown to 10:30 PM.

Visit the AGA Cafe and enjoy a selection of beverages and light fare while discussing the latest exhibition. The AGA Cafe, located on the bank of the St. Mary's River, is the perfect place to relax and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.

Gallery Shop

The Gallery Shop offers a diverse selection of art-related items, including jewelry, apparel, home decor, and more. Our shop features products by local artists, making it the perfect place to find unique and meaningful gifts. Gallery Members receive a 10% discount on all purchases.

Venue Rentals, Volunteer Opportunities, and Careers
