Our Services

At the Halton Centre for Child Care, we offer a range of services for children of different age groups. Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of each child and are designed to foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

*Infant Rooms (3-18 months)*

Our infant rooms are designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-18 months. We maintain a child-to-teacher ratio of 3:1, with a maximum of 10 infants per room. Each child has a unique schedule, and our caring staff works closely with parents to implement their child's home schedule into our daily routine. Our program focuses on gross motor and sensory development, with a gentle and caring approach that fosters strong attachments between teachers and children.

*Toddler Program (18 months - 2.5 years)*

Our toddler program is designed for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years. With a child-to-teacher ratio of 5:1, we ensure that each child receives individualized attention as they explore and learn through play. Our program incorporates learning across all developmental domains, offering many stimulating sensory experiences. Language, art, and music come alive through songs, finger plays, and stories. We believe that children learn organically through play and that Educators are co-learners alongside your child.

*Preschool (2.5-3.2 years)*

Our preschool program is tailored for children aged 2.5-3.2 years. We maintain a child-to-teacher ratio of 8:1, ensuring that each child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs are met. Our curriculum focuses on pre-reading, social, cognitive, and motor skills development. We believe that each aspect of development is interrelated and strive to provide a program that meets the holistic needs of children. Our weekly program plans offer children opportunities to develop in all areas of development, with a strong emphasis on building self-worth and independence.

Our Staff

Our team of dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) creates a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Our Facility

Our facility at 1151 Bronte Road in Oakville, Ontario, features a warm and welcoming environment that feels like a home away from home. We have separate areas for eating, sleeping, and play, as well as an outdoor play space that is accessible directly from the main hallway.
