Our Story
Born and raised in the Halifax area, Ken Barnard pursued his passion for the funeral profession by attending Humber College and graduating with his Ontario Embalmers and Funeral Directors license. After working in the oldest funeral home in Toronto, Ken returned to Nova Scotia with his family to start the funeral home in Bedford, followed by the establishment of our Sackville and Halifax locations. Today, T.K. Barnard Funeral Homes remain the last locally owned and operated funeral home in the areas we serve, proudly maintaining our commitment to the community we call home.
