Our History
Our story began in 1940 when local Dartmouth man, Francis MacDonald, founded the company. Francis MacDonald operated Dartmouth Funeral Home with his son John for many years, earning a reputation for kindness, compassion, and dedication to the community. After Mr. MacDonald's passing in 1973, the company was passed on to another owner, and eventually, current owner and operator, Phillip Levandier, became involved. For the past 30 years, Phillip and his wife Julie have owned and operated the company, upholding the values of founder Francis MacDonald.
