Our History
Our practice was established in 1989 as part of a large group practice. For over 30 years, we have been providing excellent eye care services to the Oshawa community. In 1997, optometrist Dr. Andrew Mah became the owner of this Oshawa branch, with a vision to provide a one-stop eye care service for patients. Dr. Mah has since then expanded the practice to include ophthalmology, optometry, and optical practice all under one roof, making it a well-known location for eye care services in Oshawa. In 2022, Dr. Andrew Mah and Optician Su-Chen Mah selected the perfect person to continue the legacy they had worked so hard to build. They passed the torch to optometrist Dr. Jane Yang, who is passionate and knowledgeable in providing eye care to patients.
Our Team
Our team is led by Dr. Jane Yang, a dedicated optometrist committed to making a positive impact in the community. Dr. Yang received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Toronto and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She also holds a Master of Vision Sciences degree, specializing in myopia management. Committed to giving back, Dr. Yang actively participates in mission trips, providing eye exams, treatment, and management of eye disease to communities in need. In addition, she volunteers her time at senior homes, offering support to the elderly.
