Raising the Roof for Quality and Safety in Nova Scotia
At the Roofing Contractors' Association of Nova Scotia (RCANS), we are dedicated to promoting professional workmanship in the commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing industry in Nova Scotia. Our association is comprised of active roofing contractors, associate members, and honourary members who share a common goal of providing high-quality roofing services to our clients.
Our History
RCANS was formed approximately fifty years ago when a small group of roofing contractors met in Halifax to discuss the possibility of forming an association to promote good quality commercial roofing workmanship. Since then, we have grown and evolved, becoming an affiliate member of the Canadian Roofing Contractors' Association (CRCA) in 1964. Our association has been instrumental in promoting quality roofing, safety, and training in the industry.
Our Services
RCANS offers a range of services to our members and clients, including apprenticeship training programs, safety certification, and industry-specific training. We also provide a platform for our members to network, share best practices, and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments. Our members are required to meet high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote professional workmanship in the commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing industry in Nova Scotia. We strive to promote quality, safety, and training in the industry, while providing our members with the resources and support they need to succeed.
Our Values
At RCANS, we value professionalism, quality, safety, and integrity. We believe in promoting fair business practices, respecting our clients, and providing exceptional service to our members and the community.
