At Casino Taxi, we've been around the block and back - literally. Our roots run deep in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and our history is rich with character. Founded in 1928 as a six-vehicle for-hire transportation company, we've grown into a proud third-generation family business with the largest taxi fleet in all of Atlantic Canada. Today, our dedicated team of dispatch staff, along with our independently contracted taxi drivers, complete more than 1.8 million taxi trips every year.

Glenn Archer had a negative experience due to discrimination against his emotional support dog. He was told that the cab would accommodate his Greyhound, but three times, the driver refused to take him because of the dog's size. This left him feeling unappreciated and wondering if the company discriminates in other areas as well.

Sharon Hallam, a loyal customer, was disappointed when a cab failed to show up for a pre-ordered ride. She contacted the company, and they informed her that it was due to traffic, but she felt that they should have called her to inform her of the delay. She ended up driving herself to her destination to avoid being late.

Driver Behavior

Some customers have reported encountering rude or discriminatory behavior from Casino Taxi drivers. Nova Kes had a driver who was extremely rude, yelling at her and giving her lessons on how long he'd been driving. Jj P. had a terrible experience when her drink was spiked, and she was left in a vulnerable state. The cab driver was nasty and took her phone because he thought she was refusing to pay the fare, even though she was unable to understand him due to her disability.

Aidin P. had a pre-ordered ride that was canceled by the driver without any explanation, leaving him to find another way to get to his destination on time. When he called the company to complain, they denied that he had ever ordered a ride.

Reliability and Customer Service

Reliability seems to be a major issue for Casino Taxi. Nadine Goris had two bad experiences in one week, with one driver failing to pick her up at the agreed location and another canceling her ride without explanation. She felt that the company was not reliable and that they only started looking for a cab when she called to inquire about her ride.
