Kitchener Kicks Martial Arts Centre

The Kitchener Kicks Martial Arts Centre has a rich history that spans over 46 years, with a legacy that dates back to 1975 when Master Ron Day founded the school. Master Day, before his untimely passing in September of 2008, dedicated his entire life to the development, betterment, and ultimate accomplishment of establishing one of the finest and longest-serving Martial Arts schools in Waterloo Region. Master Day's constant insistence of nothing but the best effort from his instructors and students alike has established Kitchener Kicks Martial Arts Centre as the standard in Martial Arts training facilities for over four decades.

Our Founders and Instructors

Sigung David Hackett, a highly respected and accomplished martial artist, began his martial arts career in 1985 at the Scarlet Dragon Society in Kitchener, Ontario. He has been a loyal student and instructor ever since, earning the trust and respect of the Kitchener Kicks community. Other esteemed instructors include Sifu Hailey Day, a highly skilled and dedicated martial artist with over 16 years of training in Shaolin Kung Fu, and Sifu Steve Rushmere, a seasoned martial artist with over three decades of experience.

Our Curriculum

At Kitchener Kicks, we offer a range of classes catering to all ages and skill levels. Our extensive curriculum includes Kung Fu, Karate, and Mini Ninjas programs. Our Kung Fu program focuses on the Shaolin 5 Animal style, incorporating techniques from the Tiger, Leopard, Snake, Crane, and Dragon. Our Karate program covers all aspects of martial arts, including hand techniques, kicking techniques, seizing techniques, and controlling techniques. Our Mini Ninjas program prioritizes fun and learning while developing essential skills such as balance, coordination, focus, and self-confidence.
